Biography of Anthony Hunt
I was born on January 27, 1952, in the city of
Philadelphia, PA. Growing up poor, black, and
surviving life in the ghetto streets of
Philadelphia was challenging to say the least.
Street gangs, race riots, and drugs were the
landscape. Surviving these conditions with my
faculties in tack was truly a blessing. I would
not trade these experiences for anything. They
have made me the person that I am today. I love
who I am, I am proud of who I am, and what I am becoming.
While life's journey has not been a bed of roses, it has been full of excitement, adventure, challenges, and opportunities to become more in tune and in thought with the power and beauty of the indwelling intelligence that resides within me.
I believe that this power guides us through life's intriguing journeys. It is responsible for the artist, creativity, and inspiration. I am thankful for this inspiration and light.

As an artist, I employ all the insight, skill,
and technique developed over the years in my multi-medium approach to art. I use oil, acrylic,
watercolor and any material that feels like it needs (the material) and wants to become a part of any
particular piece
or pieces of artwork that I co-create. I sincerely hope that you find something special in my art that resonates with you. |

Formal academic instruction started at
Howard University School of Architectural and Urban Design. It continued at Cornell University Masters Program in the School of Architectural and City Planning. I have been an adjunct professor at several universities where the students and I have learned so much from one another. I am truly blessed to learn, to grow, and to remind them of the great things and of the power that is within us all.
As an Architect, I have designed many facilities including academic K-12 grade facilities, university projects, religious facilities, recreational facilities, and multi-family housing projectiles.
